Dotcrawl: Retro Snake

Steer a pixel snake on a pocket LCD, eat dots, grow longer and beat your best.

Remember the little green screen you carried in your pocket? Dotcrawl brings back that dot-matrix glow with a clean, fast snake game you can play anywhere, completely offline.

How to play:

1. Pick a maze and a speed level from 1 to 9 on the Play screen, then tap Start.
2. Swipe up, down, left or right to turn the snake. It keeps crawling on its own, so plan your turns ahead. You can switch on on-screen D-pad buttons in Settings if you prefer tapping.
3. Eat dots to grow one segment longer and score points equal to your speed level.
4. Every fifth dot brings a blinking bonus dot. Grab it before it fades away for five times the points.
5. Hit a wall or your own tail and the run is over. Check your score, length and time, then try again.

Progression:

Start slow on level 1 and work your way up. Higher levels move faster and pay more for every dot, so your best scores come from braving the quick speeds. Fill your records board across all three mazes and see how long your snake can get.

Offline and private:

Dotcrawl works without an internet connection. There are no accounts, no sign-ups and no ads. Your records stay on your device, and you can erase them any time from Settings by holding the erase button.
